HopeNet of Carpinteria presents an on-line observance of Suicide Prevention & Awareness Month.
In lieu of our annual in-person Candlelight Vigil in honor of World Suicide Prevention Day, please join us online anytime* during the month of September in order to celebrate those lives that have been lost or who have struggled with depression and suicide. Find hope while listening to stories of some of our community leaders.
Our guest speakers via video include: U.S. Congress member Salud Carbajal, Santa Barbara County Supervisor Das Williams, Carpinteria Mayor Wade Nomura, Carpinteria City Council member Fred Shaw, Carpinteria/Summerland Fire Department Battalion Chief Brian Roberson, Santa Barbara Response Network (SBRN) Founders, Anthony Rodriguez and Jina Carvahlo, who is also Director of Communications and Public Relations at the Glendon Association and HopeNet of Carpinteria Vice- President Dr. Deborah Smilovitz Foster. Music of healing and hope by Hugo Macario of Ensamble Vientos Del Sur.
